Folk Tunes from Around the World

For the 2021-2022 school year, the focus is on folk music. “Folk Tunes from Around the World” focuses on “people’s music” – common and popular songs and melodies that have been used for hundreds of years by composers in symphonies, chamber music, concertos and, yes, popular music to be sure! The complete Music in the Schools curriculum includes:

  • Curriculum packet (download below) which includes descriptions of the music, composers, and backgrounds
  • State-mandated benchmarks and activities for grade levels K-6
