WINTER CONCERT SERIES
The Sinfonia concert programs include well-known orchestral works by the great composers, as well as new works by American composers, and showcase accomplished guest soloists from around the world.
Concerts are performed in comfortable neighborhood settings including Minneapolis venues, the Basilica of Saint Mary and Temple Israel, and St. Paul venues Metropolitan State University and First Covenant Church.
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
The Sinfonia takes to the parks in summertime to present the same high quality concerts as our Winter Series in scenic outdoor parks such as Lake Phalen Regional Park in St. Paul and Lake Harriet Band Shell in Minneapolis.
The highlight of the summer for up to 30 of the area’s most talented young musicians, is Youth Outreach Week, when dedicated players have the opportunity to experience a “week in the life” of a professional musician, rehearsing side by side, and performing with the Sinfonia’s professional musicians at Lake Harriet Band Shell in Minneapolis.
COMMUNITY POPS CONCERTS
The Sinfonia lets its hair down to play light classical and “pops” music in an even more casual atmosphere.
HOLIDAY POPS CONCERTS
Popular holiday music and seasonal favorites are performed at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis, and other local venues.
SUMMER FAMILY POPS
Summer Family Pops Concerts feature Broadway and movie tunes, as well as marches, polkas, rags and more. Typical concert sites include Como Park, the Minnesota Zoo, Lake Harriet Band Shell and Caponi Art Park.
CHILDREN’S CONCERTS
While all Sinfonia concerts are open to children, our free-admission Children’s Concerts are tailored especially for kids. Families are invited to experience well-known classical music and listen to lively stories.
